Institute for Space Sciences contributions at the MACRO Experiment

• development, calibration and analysis of the experiment’s NTDs devoted to the search of exotic particles (GUT magnetic monopoles, nuclearites, Q-balls).

• the calibration of the MACRO NTDs, performed at different accelerator facilities including the CERN SPS (Experiment EMU18), produced significant results concerning nuclear fragmentation processes for a wide range of energies.

• atmospheric neutrinos data analysis: MACRO reported simultaneously with the Super Kamiokande the discovery of atmospheric neutrino oscillations.
